Yii & AJAX

I currently have a script written in yii & php. On the script merchants can add menu items, we will call that the “add item” page. On the “add item” page you can select “add-on category” and “add-on items” to the menu item. But in order to add add-on category and add-on items you must exit the “add item” page and go on the “add-on category” and “add-on item” page to make changes. I want to turn this into AJAX so the merchants can add “add-on category” and “add-on item” on the spot without ever having to leave the “add-item” page. I also want to do this with the “Ingredients” section in the “add item” page. Instead of the merchant leaving the page to add ingredients to add to items, I want them to be able to press a + or - and add ingredients on the spot as well. I have attached screenshots of the current methods of doing those tasks. I want them done in AJAX
