I need an artist to recreate these panels for an interior. Need someone in next two weeks.
Tell us about the dark metallic panels you recently made for a catalog cover.
“Our process was actually quite simple. We used one of our standard ragging techniques, which allows you to easily get different looks just by changing the pressure and glaze opacity. First, we painted the panels with black wall paint in an eggshell finish and let them fully dry. Then we diluted some silver metallic paint with a little water (Faux Effect makes my favorite water-based metallic paints). Because of the paint’s reflective nature and high-color contrast, you won’t need much of it. Using a rag, we rubbed the diluted silver paint onto the panels with circular and vertical movements. Using another damp rag, we removed some of the metallic paint. I suggest working in small organically-shaped areas. This helps to conceal any paint overlap and make it look more natural.”
We are based out of Florida but will be in New York doing some murals during May and can also fit you in while there. We have done lots of faux finishing and can send pics of past jobs.
I love doing crafty art like this. I'm able to complete this in a timely manner.
