run php in a asp page

I have several asp sites and I would like to run a php script to be able to do automated link exchanges. From what I can see, the php script calls a distant database and "inserts" some text in a regular page. I have seen a component that might be able to do run php in an asp page (eg: <[login to view URL]>). I am unsure it can work or not My server runs aspx, but I simply need to run the php code on a plain asp page.
