Hello,
I need to develop an application in the form of an excel Add-in. This add-in comes provided with sheets and VBA code; the sheets have formulas, array formulas, range names, and form objects within.
- The addin will use its own built in sheets as templates for creating new “instances?? and then populating all these sheets to the new instance. A new instance is an Excel workbook with all the sheets and worksheet objects from the original file (the addin)
- New instances should have as little VBA code as possible, I think this can be done by implementing a VBE reference to the addin (which will actually ‘serve’ the code to the instances) to the new instances, on runtime. I tried to do it but I get errors with that, I definitely didn’t do it right. Why do I need it? Because the app will have an expiration date, I need any copies saved to be totally useless beyond that date.
- All the range names, formulas and buttons within a new instance should be consistent after its creation. If I click on a button, it will direct me to a certain sheet on the same instance, range and array formulas should point to values on the same workbook. As stated on the previous point, there should be no problem with the addin’s custom functions and macros.
A workbook will be provided to those who ask for it, it contains some sample sheets and objects, as well as some part of the code that fails, if anyone can make it work right, perfect. However, I’m very open to any ideas or suggestions, especially if it comes to making the app’s performance faster and making it easier to work with (many updates to come).
I need to get this fixed, so any reasonable bid will be considered.
