osX windwos app installer ------------------------- we have 2 windows 32bit applications that must be executed on osX. we have it running with crossover but we dont like the install process. i have very low exprience with this apple-windows "emulator" stuff .... please give me feedback to the following requirements if you feel like my thinking is wrong wine ---- we need a installer for osX that install all the "wine" stuff. (we dont want to use crossover stuff because we dont want to pay the 40$) for each installation of our applications. so only free open source stuff is allwoed to use. drive letters ------------- our application is a backup application that access windows drives as letter ... this means that wine shold have default drive letters for accessing the apple harddisk. and options to assign windows drive letters to network drives ... shold be possible by a config file or even gui. install ------- on install process a application must be executed "[login to view URL] /install" at this time the drive c: must be allready mapped because insthelper will write to c:\dt\scs\local\[login to view URL] autostart --------- 2 windows applications must be executed automaticly on mac startup. [login to view URL] [login to view URL] it would be nice if we have a config file for this too. meight [login to view URL] where we can add a list of applications that must be executed on startup. tcp network ----------- the application [login to view URL] will access the internet on port 115 and on high ports. (to make kind of ftp transfer) i am not shure if wine must be enabled for this. no disturbing current installations ----------------------------------- if there is allready a wine or crossover installation on the osX, the installation of our stuff shold NOT change any settings or executables of it. this means if possible dont use default folder for installation of the win stuff ... instead it will be perfect if you install wine to unique directory. my intension is: /dt/wine/ for the wine executable stuff /dt/wineconfig/ for the wine configurations /dt/winapps/ for the windows applications uninstall --------- finaly we need a function in installer that removes all this stuff comletely from the osX
