JavaScript popup of chessboard

Looking to have a javascript rollover popup that displays a chessboard (bsed on FEN position) and other information when you hover over a link. Must be FAST to render, work for having up to 1000 of these links on a page without slowing page html rendering, and should have very small javascript size and only 1 image map.
