E-Commerce Engine Rewrite

This project is a result of requests from our customers and problems were having building a structured shopping system. This will be a combination of combining open source scripts, commercial scripts and various proprietary software. This project will require a dedicated programmer for PHP, CGI, Perl and possibly a web design aware coder. This should support adding functions to sections of HTML to allow the dynamic content to appear wherever it is placed. b. The html layout should be separate from the PHP code as well as the layout code for sideboxes we want to have a more flexible way of presenting the shops, this will allow us to personalize more the front end. c. The admin section needs to be in a more icon layout and not as it is currently with drop down boxes, its too confusing. d. The ability to switch date formats easily without hacking code for example US dates and Adresses would show if it was a US based shop and If UK post code would show as opposed to zip and date format would be in the dd/mm/yyyy format and not mm/dd/yyyy format for US etc e. Importing of shop code must support all fields within a category description, products inside categories etc importing will be done via an excel spreadsheet which we can supply test code and actual import code at present. f. Language will be internally defined and there is no need for separate defines in separate files this will be in the admin section g. Security of shop, we need a review of the code to make it more secure for transactions and and sql inection vulnerabilities. h. A new search function will be incorporated into the code i. Database structure needs to be refined and changed, we have too many links with other tables and duplicated data.
