We have a VB software which submits the data to other websites through winsock .
It is causing problem at one stage , if any of the website is not responding or is down for sometime , then our software hangs up because it tries to connect it again and again and didn't get any response from it .
Here is the function that we are using .
On Error Resume Next
[login to view URL] = [login to view URL] + 1
Dim strPostInfo As String, strPost As String
For i = 0 To lstAutoList(0).ListCount - 1
If lstAutoList(0).Selected(i) = True Then Exit For
Next 'I
sellist = lstAutoList(0).ItemData(i)
Set objTemp = colSafeLisT(lstAutoList(0).ItemData(i))
tmpstr = [login to view URL]
tmpstr = Replace(tmpstr, "{firstname}", txtInfo(0) & "+" & txtInfo(1))
strPostInfo = tmpstr
strPost = "POST " & getPostUrl([login to view URL]) & " HTTP/1.1" & vbCrLf & _
"Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded" & vbCrLf & _
"Content-Length: " & Len(strPostInfo) & vbCrLf & _
"Host: " & getHost([login to view URL]) & vbCrLf & _
"Connection: Keep-Alive" & vbCrLf & vbCrLf
[login to view URL] strPost & strPostInfo
So we need a fix by which if it didn't see any response from that website then it skips it.
We need it urgently so if you can do it today itself then only make a bid and also let us know for how much more time you are online today.
