Answer some questions about a possible app that queries Google

Hi, I want to create an app that analyzes the top 10 Google result urls. Including where they get their backlinks from. The app will be running from a single server. I'm looking for someone who would be able to answer a few questions and get me on the right path. QUESTIONS: 1) Does Google have a specific limit in queries that can happen from a single IP? What is that limit? 2) If such a limit exists, what would be the best way to go around it? 3) What would be the most reliable way for the app to search and find the backlink URLs of the top SERPs? I think that "link:[login to view URL]" from Google will not return all the backlink results. Is there a better way to get access to this info?
