Research Tracking tool We need a coder to develop a research management tool for a University in Uganda. 1. The tool should have the ability to host researchers profiles The profiles should have • Biodata (First name, last name, middle initial, …); • Designation • Department • School • College • Contact info (email, telephone; bot safe) • Area(s) of research interests • Publication record (each publication entered separately with Authors, title, journal, volume, issue, pages, keywords, ……) • Academic awards, policy briefs, recognitions, innovations and Patents • Conferences attended (Selectable as Invited talks, keynote speech or submitted talk) • Grants held (project titles and grant amount, funding agency, PI and Co-PI, collaborating institutions, duration of project, ….) 2. The tool should have a database 3. The tool should have an admin panel and should be scalable even by an admin with no knowledge of html coding. The admin should be able to add a field and sub fields and these new fields automatically added to the database 4. The tool should be searchable with advanced search options Search by name Topic/ subject Search with exact words or at least one of the words 5. The tool should be able to aggregate researchers data and create reports and make graphs.(Similar to web of science); provide management information eg number of publications by researcher, and refinable by keywords, journal, year……; ability to export data in a suitable format eg xls, CSV, pdf, ……. 6. The system should be able to avoid duplication of articles by using a unique identifier of a publication co-authored by several authors from the same University or co-authors from other Universities 7. The tool should be able to pick up new citation by linking to resources such as crossref (in other words should be able to do it automatically; if possible and legal) 8. Security must be inbuilt in the system (must be hack safe) 9. The system should be mobi ready
