Social Network - Calendar / Events website

Brief Using Joomla – JomSocial, create a social networking website for displaying music events/user created events. When users 'attend' these events, they are added to their personal calendars which are public and can be viewed by other users. The website will contain only two main pages - Home page - When users log in they are shown events sorted by their location (as set when they sign up to the website). Most events at this stage will be created by an admin. Format is to be displayed in a similar style to the 'Zite' iPad app - [login to view URL] These are events sorted by day and will be navigated by categories (as in the image above). Users can then browse these events and 'attend' them. Once attended they are added to the users personal calendar so they are easy to organise. Calendar page - [login to view URL] These user calendars are public can can be viewed by other users so they can compare planned events. Wrap up - The premise is very simple however it needs to be built on JomSocial (or similar if a decent case can be argued) as other functionality will be added in the future.
