Automated Conversion of MS Office Documents Located On Company Intranet

Hi Coders, My client has several thousand MS Office documents located on it's intra net (both Word and Excel). Currently these documents are set for Office 2003 compatibility. We require an automated tool to traverse the intra net and convert these documents to Office 2000 compatibility. Most of our new users only hold an Office 2000 license. The application would need a simple GUI (specification to be provided). The GUI would allow the user to generate a report listing all files which require conversion BEFORE conversion takes place. Also required is the ability to conduct a dry run. The dry run would perform the conversion, but output the files to a local disk, with the same tree structure, this is required to ensure the application functions as expected. Development in Borland Delphi is preferred, but I'm open to suggestions if you can make a good case. Please only bid if you have completed previous RentACoder projects to a high standard. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
