Simple Library Management Website

In this project, your team will develop a simple Library Management Website that allows a librarian to manage the books borrow/return process at AAU. Your website must involve two roles: librarian (admin) and students who will borrow and return books to AAU library. It is assumed that the each student can borrow a maximum of 3 books. Books must be returned within 120 days. The student will be charged 50 AED for each day delay after the 120 days. To borrow a book, student must login into the website using a password, and user name. The librarian assigns a password for each student, and a student can use this password to access the website and create his profile. The Password must be 5 digits. The librarian can add new books to the website. Each book has the following information: title, version, publisher, publication year, field, and status (borrowed or on the shelf). All these fields must be validated (for example publication year cannot be text, book version must be a number). The data entries need to be stored in a database. Students can view their borrowed books once accessing their profiles. First, a student needs to enter his/her password. Students can only view their borrowed books and they can check if they have any charges to pay (if they forget to return any book). You are required to use HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PhP, and MySQL. Only use the features of the languages and tools that are covered in the class, e.g., do not use jQuery. Simple scenario example: Ahmad went to AAU library to rent a book. The librarian will assign a password for him. Ahmad can use this password to access the website and to add his information (name, ID, major) to create his own profile. Suppose Ahmad borrowed the book “Programming the World Wide Web”. The librarian will update the books table and change the status of the book Programming the World Wide Web” into borrowed. Ahmad can view the list of borrowed books, the remaining days to return, and the charges if any. He cannot borrow more than 3 books.
