Hi all I need a custom made script that has a config file where I can enter WiFI SSID's and passwords, along with Printer names. This program can be either C++ or Python, whichever will work best and easiest. I want to be able to run this script and it will check if it's connected to the WiFi and show a 'status' of OK - else it will try connect to the list of SSIDs and will show a confirmation of connection else 'status' can't find SSIDs. After the script joins the WiFi network, I want to attempt to connect to a network printer, with the same status as above, found, connected, can't find etc. The reason I need this script is we have many employees working from remote offices which have a 4g modem and network printer, I have to remote in and help support all the time, so I need this tool that I can configure and send to users which will troubleshoot and connect automatically for me to save time. If at all possible, it would be nice to work on both Windows and MAC but mostly Windows is the target OS. The SSIDs and Printer details can be defined in a separate file such as a .txt / .ini / whatever suits. The script must have a nice simple UI with big buttons for users who are 'bad' at computers. I will require all sourcecode on completion and I will ignore entries that are submitted instantly as I don't have time for bots.

Hi, my name is Daniel. I have recently done another project, that included work with WiFi networks. Actually the project also included search, structuring and some actions on WiFi networks, that available to user via GUI interface. Your project seems to be very alike the one above. I suggest to work with a simple XML (that is very easy to wotk with and structured well), where will be 2 sections: (1) All the suggested networks SSIDs with passwords. (2) All the suggested devices(printers) to be found in network. What the application will do is to try to connect to every one of the networks from list (1) For every network from list (1), that the application could successfully connect to, the application will check if each one of the devices(printers) from list (2) connected to the network or not. Is that is actually what you want from the application to do? Please write me back and I can even prepare to you some demo application, before even we go ahead with the approving a bid.
