Hi, Contractor. My name Is Gustavo and I am a Structural Engineer with some experience in retrofit and renovation projects. I think that in your case we will need some photos or better, the load itself that the I-beam will need to support. If you don´t have that, I´ll the floor plan will for the job. Said that I will delivery the design, a technical report of the calculation of the beam and the workshop drawings with the joists and connections position on the beam.
