I have over 10 years of experience as system admin for both windows and linux systems and also 10 plus experience in the field of computer/network and website security. I have done website security testing(I know all about xss, sqli, rfi/lfi, owasp 10 and others), but I also did QA combined with security testing, especially because doing website security testing requires using and finding all the functions of the website in question and then trying various invalid inputs to see what will happen; sometimes it would result in badly rendered web page, sometimes it would expose sensitive information about the website in question. At the end of each day I tend to send progress report and at the end I'll write a document detailing found bugs/issues with screenshots. A few samples of my work can be found in my portfolio: https://www.freelancer.com/u/zaskock.html How do I see the task and Preliminary timeline: day 1: a) create a test routine for every single relevant use case and have all scenarios for testing approved by manager b) set up test accounts in dev system that have the specifications needed for test sсenario (if necessary with help from developer) - I believe I can do it with minimal assistance. day 2, first run of the testing: a) record every single use case with video and/or screenshots to make a report stating errors and suggestions - I usually prefer to use a screenshots, but making a screencast isn't a problem too. b) write a ticket for development explaining all errors and offer solution (in close discussion with product management) - I can write a bug report with all the necessary fields.
