Custom Blog Design and Development

We're looking for someone to design and develop a blog site for us to capitalize on our social media endeavors. It does not necessarily have to be a wordpress blog, as I had a friend in the industry tell me it seemed like overkill to have a wordpress blog on top of the site we have www.ImageBrief.com. I need to have a conversation about that I suppose. Just as a point of reference, we're keen on the utilization of social sharing on these sites: Although their blog is essentially their entire site? I made a slight note to the side of each link: [login to view URL] - Clean, photo-centreic, however, lacks the ease of sharing [login to view URL] - Photo-centric, clean design and incorporates social sharing [login to view URL] - Really love everything about this. Neat, simple, easy to read, easy to share. [login to view URL] - The design of the blog is flawlessly integrated as part of their site [login to view URL] - simple, sharable - not as easily shared as I'd like [login to view URL] - clean and photo-centric - not sharable at all, however. [login to view URL] - One word. LOVE. We will just need to be a little bit more flexible than featuring one photo per post. We'll most likely want to feature multiple images + text [login to view URL] - Simple, sharable and a great design. Points to Note: I feel as though a number of blogs I've researched - even for big brands - tend to look messy and somewhat haphazardly thrown together. The keys here are simplicity, clean design, and social sharing ease. As we are in the photography business, it would be ideal to showcase that imagery accordingly...very much like the majority of the sites I've features in this detail.
