I have done projects with the due, one of them I posted on instructables.com. it was a robot arm with a panel control, well the experience when programming the due to take into account its CORTEX-M3 architecture to be able to modify both the code and the circuit Taking into account the electrothermal technology of the sensor or actuator, if it is a TTL, you have to increase the pull-up or down resistance this arduino sends 3.3v to digital pins this also requires you to analyze the sensor circuit on the other hand, you have to see the type of eprom used for the code you have. the arduino due taking into account all these points mentioned above and others depending on the circuit is very advantageous for a greater quantity of possibilities with in the code for example with the stepper motors.
