Hello.
The task seems not very difficult to me, I made similar things, connecting a wireless phone to a Walkie-Talkie, and others of the kind.
My remarks:
1. You probably would have provide me with some information about connections to both helicopter headset and VHF radio, both electrical and physical (what type of connectors are used?). Well, I can guess levels of signals and the volume adjustment will do the rest, but you probably want a prototype fitted with right connectors, you would not want to do any soldering, right? At least good pictures of connectors needed, then I probably understand.
2. I think it would be better to make a fully functioning prototype, according to you description, from beginning, the international mailing is time consuming, better to minimize it.
3. Battery should be probably rechargeable, so an additional connector for it and some circuit to avoid the overcharge. What life time of battery is needed? Will be 3...4 hours OK?
I'm an electronic engineer with about 25 years of experience, also about 7 years of experience in 3D modelling using SolidWorks. Experience with Arduino and ESP32 controllers. Good technical background.
Experience in 3D printing, manufacturing drawings.
I'm ready to discuss details by messaging before starting, contact me if interested.
Best regards
