Modeling IEEE14 Bus and analysis for cascading failure using MATLAB -- 2

Please read my profile. I have a background in EEE from IIT Mumbai; Eight years of experience in MATLAB and SIMULINK. I have quite a grasp over this problem and will be able to send you a CONVINCING preliminary report and estimation of the nature of the task. The problem as i have been able to understand requires Communications/Simscape an Simevents toolboxes.

According to my understanding, the project requires modeling of IEEE 14 bus system using Petri Nets in Matlab for analysis of system security in case of contingencies. (the ultimate goal of the analysis I believe is to locate flaws in the protection system for the network). I have done some literature reviews on power system security analysis using Petri Nets before bidding on this project. I am very much familiar with MATLAB,and power system operations and protections. So hopefully I will be able to finish the project successfully.
