Hi there! Do you know that when describing everyday objects, the Western world tends to use categories while the Easterners tend to use actions? For example, in English we say "Oh! Papercut!", but in Chinese we say "I am cut by paper". The different terms used to describe the same item is a major contributor to all those weird/funky translations you see on the Internet. While I have a good laugh, I certainly don't want those in the project. That's why I am here to help you break the language gaps I am a native Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) speaker and have been living in Canada for more than 7 years. Obtained a Canadian undergrad degree, and now working at a Canadian market research company. I have been translating English to Simplified/Traditional Chinese for 4 years. My work includes translating newspaper articles, research questionnaire and advertising messages.
